The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal headlined the series as Joel, a smuggler in a post-apocalyptic world who accepted a job to escort a teenage girl named Ellie (Game of Thrones' Bella Ramsey) across the country in the hope that her immunity to the Cordyceps infection could lead to a cure for the virus that turns humans into zombie-like creatures.
